New Generation Energy-Saving Powder Coating Line Released
Summary: After a year of intensive R&D, our 3rd-generation powder coating system reduces energy consumption by 23% compared to the previous model — saving customers $20,000-$40,000 USD annually.
After nearly a year of focused R&D, MUSI Technology's 3rd-generation energy-saving powder coating line has officially completed development and entered batch production. While maintaining all existing performance advantages, the new product reduces overall energy consumption by 23% — projected to save customers $20,000 to $40,000 USD per year (based on a mid-sized line producing 3 million pieces annually).
MUSI R&D Director Dr. Chen explained that the energy breakthroughs come from three core innovations: a redesigned bridge-type dust collection system with heat recovery efficiency rising from 75% to 92%; high-efficiency variable-frequency drives on circulation and recovery fans; and an intelligent control system that automatically adjusts curing temperature and air supply based on actual production volume.
On performance metrics, the new product achieves multiple breakthroughs: maximum workpiece size increased to 3,500 mm; film thickness uniformity improved to ±5 μm; automatic color-change time reduced to 25 minutes; line MTBF increased to 5,000 hours.
MUSI conducted 90-day on-site trials at three customer sites — in Vietnam, Mexico, and the UAE — between May and August 2024. Trial results showed stable operation across all sites with average energy consumption 26%-31% below the customers' original lines, film quality pass rates exceeding 99%, and 100% customer satisfaction.
MUSI has received batch orders from international clients including two listed companies and a Fortune 500 enterprise. Production is ramping up, with deliveries scheduled from Q4 2024 onwards. The successful development of the 3rd-generation line is a concrete action toward global carbon reduction goals.
