Powder Coating Systems

Powder Coating Systems

Powder coating has become the leading method for hardware, appliance, and aluminum profile industries — eco-friendly (zero VOCs), excellent durability, superior mechanical properties. MUSI offers the full range from manual to fully automatic, single-color to multi-color quick-change systems.

Liquid Spray Lines

Liquid Spray Lines

Liquid coatings (water-based, solvent-based, 2K paints) still dominate in automotive, furniture, and appliance exterior finishes. MUSI provides differentiated solutions tailored to each paint type's characteristics.

TURNKEY LINES BY APPLICATION

Complete Lines Built for One Product Family

Where the finished part carries the specification — corrosion class, film tolerance, changeover time — the line is engineered around that product family rather than assembled from catalogue categories.

PROCESS FLOW

Typical Coating Process

MUSI provides complete line design — covering every step from workpiece loading to finished part packaging.

1

Pretreatment

Degreasing, derusting, phosphating, water rinse, drying

2

Spray Application

IR pre-heat → powder/liquid/UV spray

3

Curing

High-temp dust collection system / sandblasting

4

Cooling & Unload

Forced air cooling → automatic unloading

5

VOCs Treatment

Exhaust treatment → compliant discharge

SELECTION GUIDE

Equipment Selection Guide

Different paint types, workpieces, and capacity needs require different equipment configurations. Wrong choices lead to wasted investment or production bottlenecks.

Typical Scenario Recommended Solution
Hardware mass coating (≥5,000 pcs/shift) Overhead chain auto powder line + RTO treatment
Furniture panel water-based coating Floor belt water-based line + activated carbon + wastewater
Auto bumpers / complex plastic parts Robotic flexible line + 2K mixing spray
Aluminum profile outdoor weathering Vertical powder system + bridge gas oven
Surface preparation before coating (rust/oxide removal) Sandblasting + powder coating
High-volume low-concentration VOCs Zeolite rotor concentrator + RTO combined

Six equipment families, and what each one is rated for

MUSI supplies the whole finishing shop rather than single machines. Coating lines run 0.5–5 m/min and scale from 5,000 to 50,000 pieces per shift over 60–200 m of installed length. Powder booths change colour in 5–15 minutes against 30–60 minutes for a standard booth. Electrostatic liquid spray reaches at least 80% transfer efficiency. Blast machines reach cleaning grade Sa 2.5–3 to ISO 8501. Dust collectors cover 3,000–200,000 m³/h, and RTO units destroy at least 98% of VOCs with heat recovery of at least 95%.
