Summary

A 1,320 mm working-width spray coating line with standard accessories for a Bengaluru integrator of woodworking machinery that supplies furniture and panel manufacturers with solid-wood and panel lines, sanding machines and CNC routers. Panels up to 1,320 mm wide pass through automatic spraying and on to drying in one flow, ready to be combined with the integrator's sanding and processing equipment. The line was shipped from China in February 2026.

Project Background

The client, based in Bengaluru, supplies and integrates woodworking machinery for furniture and panel manufacturers — solid-wood and panel lines, sanding machines and CNC routers — with installation and after-sales support. MUSI supplied a 1,320 mm spray coating production line with standard accessories, shipped from China in February 2026.

The Challenge

Furniture panels need an even, smooth finish across their full width, and panel makers expect a line that is easy to run and maintain. The equipment also has to fit into a complete panel-processing line supplied by the integrator.

MUSI's Solution

MUSI supplied a spray coating line with a 1,320 mm working width, so panels up to that width pass through automatic spraying and on to drying in one flow, ready to be combined with the integrator’s sanding and processing equipment.

Equipment Scope

  • Automatic spray section, 1,320 mm working width
  • Panel conveying
  • Drying section
  • Standard accessories

Results

The line was shipped in February 2026 for the integrator’s furniture and panel customers in India.

Selection logic: why this configuration

A flat-line panel sprayer with a fixed 1,320 mm working width was chosen over a hanging line because furniture panels are flat and must be coated on one face at a time with a smooth, even film across the full width. The line was supplied with standard accessories so the integrator can combine it with its own sanding and handling equipment.

Typical programme

The durations below are typical for equipment of this class and are given for planning; they are not the recorded schedule of this project. A complete line usually runs 90–180 days from contract to acceptance, a single unit 30–60 days.

StageTypical durationWhat happens
Site survey and workpiece review5–10 daysRemote review of drawings and photos, or an engineer visit
Layout and detail design15–30 daysLayout drawing, utilities list and specification sign-off
Manufacturing45–90 daysBooths, ovens, conveyor, pretreatment and controls built and pre-assembled at the works
Shipping20–45 daysSea freight; equipment shipped in sections for on-site assembly
Installation15–40 daysMUSI supervision with the client's installation crew or MUSI crew
Commissioning, training and acceptance7–15 daysTrial runs on the client's parts, operator training, acceptance record

Applicability and limits

The line coats flat panels up to 1,320 mm wide; wider panels or three-dimensional furniture parts need a different machine. Shipment date is from the shipping records; production figures have not been published.

Results shown in this case study reflect the stated operating conditions and should not be interpreted as guaranteed performance under different feed, production, environmental, or site conditions.

After-sales and spare parts

Warranty on a MUSI coating line runs from acceptance: 12 months on the complete line excluding consumables, 36 months on critical components such as motors, drives and the PLC, and 60 months on structural parts such as steel structure, ducting and oven bodies. Failures within warranty, excluding misuse, are repaired free of charge.

Support starts remotely: the service line is staffed around the clock, a preliminary diagnosis with recommendations is given within 2 hours, and where a site visit is needed an engineer reaches any major city within 72 hours. A spare-parts inventory is held at the Changzhou headquarters with same-day shipping, and customers can keep a dedicated parts stock at MUSI for emergencies. Details are on the after-sales service page.

Next step: a configuration proposal for a similar line

If your parts, volumes or plant conditions are close to this project, MUSI can return a line configuration and layout proposal. To prepare it we need four things:

  • Photos and dimensions of the workpieces, with weight and material
  • Required output (pieces per hour or per day, and shifts)
  • Number of colours and how often colour changes are needed
  • Available floor space and ceiling height, with the utilities on site
